As an Apparel, Textiles, and Merchandising graduate from Central Washington University, I feel incredibly grateful for the education and experiences that I received during my time in school. Through coursework, studio classes, and industry internships, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the fashion industry from both a creative and business perspective. My professors challenged me to think critically, innovate, and explore my own creative voice, which has equipped me with the skills needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry. Additionally, being surrounded by a diverse community of students and industry professionals has exposed me to different perspectives and ways of thinking, which has broadened my worldview and prepared me for real-world situations. While there is still much to learn, I am confident in my ability to navigate the fashion industry and make meaningful contributions to the field, thanks to the education I received at Central Washington University as an ATM graduate.

I believe that it is my responsibility as a fashion professional to ensure that my work is created with the environment in mind, using materials and processes that are more thoughtful and less wasteful. Furthermore, collaboration is also a core value of mine. The fashion industry is a highly collaborative field, and it is essential to work effectively with others in order to produce the best results, as we all come from different backgrounds and have something unique to add to and further the conversation. I believe in creating an environment of mutual respect and open communication, where all parties involved can share their ideas and perspectives to create something truly exceptional. Additionally, one of my core values is creativity. I believe that creativity is at the heart of the fashion industry, and it is what keeps the industry constantly evolving and exciting. I strive to approach every project with a fresh perspective and an openness to new ideas, pushing boundaries and taking risks to create something truly unique. By living these values and incorporating them into my work, I believe that I can make meaningful contributions to the industry and create work that truly reflects who I am as a professional and a person.
